A comfortable, well-proportioned family home on one of Chiswick's quieter tree-lined streets, a few minutes' walk from the river Thames and the excellent cafes, bars, cinema and independent shops of Devonshire Road and Chiswick High Road. Our house sleeps six across three double bedrooms. The main bedroom has its own bath and shower room. The two further doubles sit on their own floor with a dedicated shower room making it ideal for families travelling with older children or for two couples sharing. There are four WCs across the house. A fourth room on a mezzanine floor is kept locked during lets and is used for our personal belongings. The heart of the house is a large kitchen-diner with a dining table that seats eight to ten, well suited to long lunches and family suppers. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a double oven, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave and music system. The sitting room is a separate space with a large television with access to a Netflix, Disney and Sky streaming services. The garden is a classic London town garden, small but mature, with established trees, comfortable seating and a gas barbecue for summer evenings. Chiswick is one of London's most liveable neighbourhoods with a proper village feel. Turnham Green underground station is ten minutes away on foot, putting you on the District line with a quick interchange onto the Piccadilly line and into central London in under half an hour. The river Thames is a short walk away, with towpath strolls in either direction and Kew Gardens and Richmond Park are a few stops away by tube. Chiswick House and its eighteenth-century gardens are less than ten-minutes walk away. For those looking to travel while they're here Chiswick is very practical. Heathrow is just twenty minutes by car and access to the M4 motorway is 10 minutes, so it's good for access to Oxford, the Cotswolds, Bath and the West Country and Cornwall for weekend trips. Our house is a greatbase for a family or a group of friends looking for a summer in London, with space to work, cook, eat, read and relax and everything the city and the countryside have to offer within easy reach.
