Furnished Waterfront SF Home — Sept–May Academic-Year Rental

I’m a longtime San Francisco resident and small business owner with a seasonal work schedule. I need to be in the city during the summer months, but I plan to travel for much of the rest of the year. Because of that, I’m hoping to find the right person to rent my furnished home from approximately September through May. This is not a vacation rental situation. I’m not looking for Airbnb-style turnover, weekend stays, or rotating guests. Ideally, I’d love to find one responsible person for the full period — someone who wants a real home in San Francisco for the academic year or a defined professional stay. A visiting professor, researcher, sabbatical guest, postdoc, relocating professional, or someone with a natural September–May schedule could be a great fit. The home itself is quiet, stylish, and comfortable, with waterfront views, beach access, a private patio, two full bathrooms, open-plan living, and a chef’s kitchen. It is in one of the sunniest parts of San Francisco, close to parks, the waterfront, restaurants, cafes, transit, and neighborhood amenities. I care a lot about the apartment and am looking for someone who will appreciate it and treat it well. During the rental period, it would essentially be your home, with the shared understanding that I return for the summer season. I’m looking for someone thoughtful, stable, communicative, and respectful — ideally someone whose life rhythm makes this slightly unusual arrangement feel easy and mutually beneficial. For the right person, I’m happy to talk through the details and see whether the timing and expectations line up.
