Easy access to public transport and shops, and walking paths along the Merri Creek are just a stone’s throw away. The bedroom and lounge are north-facing, so there is plenty of natural light. The lounge has split system air conditioning for heating and cooling, as well as a ceiling fan. The bedroom has a ceiling fan and an electric heater, and is set up with a double bed, desk, and chair. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, crockery, and cutlery. It includes an oven, induction stovetop, dishwasher, rice cooker, toaster, stovetop percolator, NutriBullet, and microwave. There are wooden floorboards throughout, solar panels on the roof, unlimited Wi-Fi, and a front-loading washing machine. The apartment is a walk or a tram ride from iconic Sydney Road and Lygon Street cafés, bars, and restaurants (I recommend A1 Lebanese Bakery for a cheese pie). It is a one-minute walk to the tram stop for lines 1 and 6, both of which run to Melbourne University and RMIT’s city campus in about 25 minutes. The number 6 will also take you to Sydney Road and Moreland railway station. Melbourne University, RMIT and Australian Catholic University are all within a 30 minute bike ride. The Merri Creek walking and bike trails are 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Heated pools at the Carlton and City Baths are accessible via short tram ride, and there are gyms within walking distance. A small supermarket is a three-minute walk away. Organic grocers, larger supermarkets, and farmers markets are all within 2 kilometres. CERES Community Environment Park is about a 20-minute walk along the creek and has a café, organic grocery, bakery and nursery, gardens, and weekend markets. There is a wall-mounted TV in the lounge that has some viewing apps installed (Netflix, iView, SBS On Demand) or you can plug a laptop into TV via hdmi or USB-C (it is not connected to an aerial so no free-to-air TV). A Bose speaker is located in the lounge. The bathroom has a shower over bath and a heater. Bed linen and towels can be provided if needed. Low-maintenance indoor plants can also be left in the apartment if you prefer some greenery and are happy to keep them alive. This is offered as a one-bedroom apartment, with the second bedroom inaccessible as it will be used for storage while the apartment is rented out.
