We, Susan and Norbert, are both English professors (18th-century British Literature) at nearby California State University, Long Beach. Our house is full of books. We enjoy learning about the history of Long Beach, and we have decorated our house appropriate to its unique architecture. We love to watch movies, but we equally love exploring the wide variety of cuisines, cultures and curiosities Long Beach has to offer. Seventy-seven languages are spoken in Long Beach, and restaurants include American, Mexican, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern, Thai, Cambodian, Indian, Japanese, and more! Norbert is originally from Berlin, Susan is from Peoria, Illinois, and between the two of us we have visited six of the seven continents.
