Three public transport stations (Mile End, Stepney Green, Limehouse) with connections to all parts of London are within walking distance (max. 10 minutes), and so is the Queen Mary University campus. Regent's Canal and Mile End Park are around the corner, and can form the start of lovely walks to Victoria Park, the Thames, or Hackney Wick. In terms of shopping and entertainment, you'll find all the local shops and supermarkets that you need in the immediate area, as well as neighborhood pubs, a city farm, and a couple of good cafes.
