The building is quiet and clean, and centrally located in the heart of the Upper East Side. It is close to major transportation; the 79th street cross-town bus stops right in front of the building and the 6 train is located on 77th and Lexington. Walk west a couple of blocks and be surrounded by some of the best restaurants and bars, mostly located on 2nd Avenue. The apartment faces East, and gets beautiful light during the day. It can come furnished or not, but will have to know before end of April! My apartment was renovated right before I moved in almost three years ago, so the kitchen fixtures are all new and everything is in great condition. It is close to Hunter College, but very easy to get to NYU, Fordham, and Columbia or the hospitals via public transport. It is a quiet but friendly building, and is very safe and clean. There is a wide choice of grocery stores nearby and 24/7 package and delivery acceptance. The UES has several consulates in the area, and is very residential rather than commercial. We are close to Museum Mile, and the ferry leaves from Carl Shurz park which is right around the corner.
