Lovely house in Ann Arbor

In search of individual or family to rent two-story 2 BR Old West Side House an easy 1.5 mile walk to campus, close to parks, downtown Ann Arbor, and Eberwhite Elementary and Slauson Middle schools. House is 100+ years old and features Arts and Crafts carpentry throughout. Rent reduced if you can cat sit our friendly cat. (please see below). The house is 1,200-square feet with large connected LR/DR, 1.5 bath, front porch, back deck, basement with laundry and TV/playroom, and large back yard. House comes fully furnished. Light streams into the LR/DR from double sliding glass doors which lead onto the back deck, which was lovingly designed and built by owner. LR furnished with couch that converts to a bed for guests, rocking chair, La-Z-Boy, and piano. DR includes solid wood table and six chairs; all silverware and china provided (Fiestaware); two china cabinets, tea pot and mugs. Fully equipped kitchen comes with brand new dishwasher, disposal, and microwave, plus oven, stove, fridge. We are moving to Europe for the year so we are leaving free food, staples, tea, spices in pantry (unless you prefer not, in which case we will donate it). Ample back deck has table and chairs for eight, and provides another DR where we take all our meals outdoors from May through October. Large back yard is good for families with children. Basement includes TV room with comfy futon couch and two antique chairs plus a second office, and washer/dryer. High-speed WiFi, TV included (you will have to subscribe to services). Possible Bonus: We cannot take our cat with us to Europe; would you like to take care of her for a year? She’s named Naomi after Naomi Klein, and she is very helpful for lowering stress and high blood pressure. This is negotiable. Thanks for considering! We have cat sitters lined up to watch her if you want to travel.
