2 BR home for '26-27 academic year, possibly beyond. Great family home--on a cul-de-sac, very walkable, huge UMass field next door great for walking and sunsets, many nice kids in the neighborhood, walkable or bikeable to UMass. Rental is the main floor of my house. Price includes utilities. Dog and I are in downstairs suite half time (during the semester, Sun afternoon through Weds afternoon; other half time in Cambridge) and come through the main entrance, so this is best for people who are interested in regular hellos and open communication. Occasional shared meals/activities welcome. You have 2 BR, main bath (with tub), the main (large) kitchen, large living room, and lovely sunroom. There is enough room in the living room to set up a separate study space, or you can add to your rental a small basement room (with a window!) for a study space or third bedroom for an additional $200/month. You and I share basement washer & dryer, playroom, mudroom, garage, and outdoor yard. Main bedroom is south-facing (toward front yard), approx 14' x 15', other is north-facing (toward backyard), approx 12 x 15'. Both get good light. A third bedroom on the main floor is closed, used only occasionally by my college-age son when he comes home for about 1 week; he'll use the downstairs bath. 12 minute walk to north end of UMass campus. House is peanut-free and meat-free (vegetarian/pescatarian--except for dogfood; leftovers also OK). I am a 61-year-old faculty member, environmentally and socially conscious; my dog is a 6-year-old mixed breed (friendly and energetic). I would welcome a sociable dog who could be friends with our dog. LGBTQ friendly, international welcome.
