Upstairs is the primary bedroom, kid's room (or study), and entirely new full bath. Downstairs is a large and sunny living/dining area, adjacent to kitchen. First floor also has an office with a sofa bed and a half-bath. Plenty of closet storage! Hardwood floors throughout, no carpeting. Working fireplace. Washer (new) and dryer located in the unfinished basement. Gorgeous new stone patio just off the kitchen door. The enormous South-facing backyard has a tent platform and picnic table and a clothesline. Other features include colorful perennial beds, shade trees, wooden play structure with swing, and vegetable garden. No undergraduates, please. I welcome inquiries from scholars, teachers, writers, health care professionals, and other adults. Perfect for a single person, a couple, or a couple with one child. I love animals, but unfortunately am unable to allow pets. There is a bicycle you are welcome to use. This is a very friendly and walkable neighborhood with easy access to hiking & bike trails. Crocker Farm Elementary School is five minutes by car. Amherst Middle and High Schools are 10 minutes away. South Amherst is home to Hampshire College, Hitchcock Center for the Environment, The Eric Carle Museum & Atkins Farm Market. Local bus service by PVTA for easy commutes to and from the Five Colleges, Amherst Center, Northampton, and South Hadley. We are 10 min. from Amherst center for multiple dining options, films at the renowned independent Amherst Cinema, or to browse our beloved Amherst Books. The Amherst farmer's market (May-November) is on the Town Common. Walking distance to the Munson Library & daily community yoga classes.
