Renovated Historic double shotgun single family with large open kitchen floorplan and huge lot size. There's lots of space for entertaining- a great dinner party house. The fenced in yard is ideal for big or small dogs easily accessible through a dog door at the back, but be careful if your dog is a digger. This home is perfect for a couple wanting to host visiting guests or just roomates. There's not much upkeep on the house, just some new Azaleas to water out front. Must be ok with my belongings being here, but I will clear out closet space as best I can. Ideal tenants are used to staying in other peoples' homes, not just vacation rentals. I am active on Home Exchange and have traveled all over Europe with an "exchange" style accommoodation, and I love the mutual respect the community gives to hosts to guests. Mi casa es su casa. Please be understanding that this is New Orleans and the city lacks the civilized infrastruture of other cities, and this is a 125 year old home. Most things work perfectly, but there's always a few normal kinks and I try to alert my guests to these. The primary bedroom has a Serta Iseries medium-firm matrress and the guest room has a comfy med-firm Queen matress. The primary bathroom has been remodeled with a luxury giant soaking tub. Enjoy time under the shaded porch reading in a hammock- equipped with 2 large fans. Ths house runs has solar and Tesla Powerwall backup. EV Charging is available with your own cord if you park in small church driveway for occasional charging. Plenty of street parking right out front and usually spots in front of house are open. Located next to a Baptist church, you'll hear live gospel on Sundays and often a couple evenings a week. Just 3 blocks away is Lost Coyote Resataurant and pool- theres plenty of loungers for a play day or work-from-pool afternoon- they have $20 day passess or just splurge for an annual $300 membership. Like most neighborhoods in New Orleans, its not all peaches and cream. This is an impoverished city and you will see homelessness in the neighbohood and surrounding blocks, but we do our best to keep our block looked after and other than the occasional package theft which is common all throughout the city, no one messes with our homes. Your deliveries are usally safe as there are signs everywhere to put packages over the fence. Overall everyone on the block and much of the neighborhood knows one another and looks out for each other.

Comments: My dates are flexible for an earlier move in/longer stay depending on your needs. I will be here and returning with my dog in September, so if an earlier /later date is required, we could work out a room rental price.
