Beautiful two-bedroom, one bath, architect-designed oasis in Xochimilco. Ground floor. Quiet, elegantly furnished. Spacious open kitchen/living/dining, front and back patios. Fully equipped kitchen, pantry, utility patio. Rooftop terrace shared with one other apartment. In a quiet family courtyard, with some apartments inhabited by the Oaxacan family, and a few other apartments rented to foreigners. We hire a house manager to oversee arrival and departure and to be on call in case of any questions. The apartment is in the historic neighborhood of Xochimilco, charming with cobble-stone streets and brightly-painted murals on the houses. A few minutes' walk to a fantastic bakery with the best seedy bread and pastries, or a coffee shop, or a couple of good restaurants; fifteen minutes' walk to Sanchez Pasqua market, Llano Park, the Oaxaca Lending Library. We feel very safe here; neighbors look after each other (even temporary guests) and there is a friendly, warm vibe. Excellent hot water and water pressure, comfortable beds.
