I am a junior researcher in Economics at the University of Waterloo heading to London for a sabbatical visit, looking for tenants for my modern high-rise apartment. The apartment offers bright, spacious accommodation on the 21st floor, with clear south-east views of the surrounding area. It features a large balcony (4.5 x 26 ft) where, on good days, you can watch birds of prey flying by. The space is comfortable and well-suited for a visiting scholar or professional. There is one double bedroom with a large ensuite, alongside an additional guest bathroom. (Please note that a second bedroom/den will be used to store our personal belongings during our time away and will be locked). For those traveling with young children, baby furniture is available if needed. The open-plan kitchen blends directly into the living room, which includes a television and a dedicated work desk with a monitor for remote research or writing. The building also provides access to a large, fully equipped gym at ground level and a large communal entertainment space on the top floor. This space includes dining area, TV sets and a pool table indoors as well as a BBQ area outdoors. The location is very practical, sitting right next to Waterloo Park with its woodland trails and lake. The commute to campus is straightforward: the main University of Waterloo campus is a 12-minute walk through the park, the Perimeter Institute is a 5-minute walk, and Wilfrid Laurier University is a 20-minute walk. The area is also well-served by public transport and local amenities. A 7-minute walk takes you into Uptown Waterloo, an area with shops, groceries, and various restaurants. A local bus stop is 5 minutes away, and the ION Light Rail transit is a 7-minute walk. Using the light rail, you can reach Kitchener in 15 minutes from the front door.
