Our home is a cozy, spacious sanctuary in a truly special pocket of Philly. It’s a perfect fit for a family; our block is quiet and incredibly friendly, with kids playing outside and neighbors who actually know each other. Perched on a hill, the house overlooks trees and parkland—you can even see the moon from the main bed. It’s a space designed for both connection and quiet focus, making it a perfect spot for writing or research. Central AC for summer, forced air heating for winter. The House The layout offers plenty of room to be together or find a quiet corner: First Floor: Living room, dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen (we love to cook, so you’ll find everything you need). There’s also a small bathroom and a terrace for morning coffee. Second Floor: A bedroom with a double bed and a dedicated office space, a large bathroom with a clawfoot tub and separate shower, a second small office (will be locked), and a kid’s room. Third Floor: The main suite, full of light, with a private bathroom and shower. There's a rowing machine for morning exercise and a desk to get creative. Connectivity: We have high-speed internet throughout the house to support remote work or streaming. The Garden & Outdoors The garden is a highlight for kids and adults alike—long and lush, with a massive pin oak, some fruit trees, and veggie beds that we garden in year-round. If you like birds, you’ll love having meals on the deck. We also have a gas grill, a fire pit, a swing, and a hammock for lazy afternoons. Location & Neighborhood We are just half a block from the 1,800-acre Wissahickon Valley Park. The trails are stunning in every season and great for a morning run or bike ride. Our block is quiet and incredibly friendly, sitting right where Germantown, Mt. Airy, and Roxborough meet. Everything you need is close by: Food & Drink: Walk to our beloved co-op (voted best grocery store in Philly!), great coffee shops, breweries, and C&C Creamery for ice cream. Activities: There’s a public pool, golf course, horse stables, and even a circus school just around the corner. Also great summer camp alternatives for the kids. Commute: The train station is a 15-minute walk (or 5-minute drive) and gets you to 30th Street Station in 20 minutes. There's also a bus stop in the corner, which is sometimes faster than the train. If you’re driving, downtown is only about 15 minutes away.
