Welcome to our peaceful writer's sanctuary/poet's home in the foothills of Boulder. Our 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, is located on the 2nd floor of a midcentury Boulder apartment building. Our apartment belongs to an HOA that also offers access to a communal gym (small but does the job), sauna, tennis courts, indoor saltwater pool, billiards table and piano! We are two blocks away from the bus stop and two blocks away from a well-connected bike path and a sweet little park. 5 minute drive, 20 minute bus ride, 15 minute bike ride to Downtown Boulder/Pearl Street. 10-20 minute drive to hundreds of incredible hikes. You are welcome to use our two bikes (a Specialized--the wheels never require air!--and a classic Kona). You will be able to avail yourself to: a vintage Olympia typewriter (just replace the ribbons if you use it!), a record player, guitars, yoga mats, and a poet's dream bookshelf. We have lovingly decorated our home to make the space feel inspiring, calming, and full of warmth. We have taken great care with lighting, setting lamps with warm bulbs throughout the bedrooms and living areas to promote creativity and calm. Our southwest facing balcony looks out at the Flatirons and our porch is furnished with lounge chairs and a foldable desk for you to write/work at as well. We are both cooks so the kitchen comes fully equipped--Lagostina Martellata copper pots and pans, Le creuset cast iron skillet and Dutch oven, Bodrum French press coffee maker, electric and stovetop kettle, copper wok, Cuisinart, Berkey water filter, etc. Dishwasher, too. Big screen Smart tv available for you to watch movies & tv in our comfy living area. High speed internet. Washing and drying machine in unit. Primary bedroom: *Queen bed w/ ensuite bathroom (shower, no tub) *Flooded with light *Poet's desk Guest bedroom: *Double bed w/ ensuite bathroom (with a tub!) *Small but usable desk We’re a high desert mountain home, which means we have one rusty (and sometimes finicky) a/c in the living room and fans for the bedrooms. At night the temperature drops quite a bit and we have never found a problem with the fans running and windows open.
