The studio is in the basement of a Victorian house which is on a long terraced street which runs up Telegraph Hill. Within a few minutes walk there are two parks. The 'upper' park is where the original telegraph would have been found and where there are now two public tennis courts. From this vantage point one can see right across London with landmarks such as the London Eye, Battersea power station, Big Ben and the Wembley Arch all visible. There is a strong community ethos, Community endeavours include the well attended annual Telegraph Hill Arts festival held in March, a community cafe located between the lower and upper parks and on Saturdays there is a Farmer's Market held in the lower park. Transport: The studio is within easy walking distance of Brockley, New Cross Gate, Nunhead and Queen's Road railway stations giving quick access to Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars, Clapham junction, Shoreditch, Docklands, Whitechapel and Canada Water stations as well as being only 20 minutes travel to connect with the Elizabeth Line. Goldsmith's College is close by with many other London Universities and teaching hospitals within a 40-55 minute travel time. (London University, University College London, University of Westminster, Kings Fund | King's College London Guy's Campus | London School of Economics and Political Science | King's College London | Queen Mary University of London). Restaurants and bars of Brockley, Nunhead, Peckham and East Dulwich are nearby. There is easy on street parking outside the house and there is a ZipCar location just a 2 minute walk down the street. Turo car rental options are also available nearby. The studio is available for the current academic year of 2025/26 and 2026/27. Specifically first available from mid March 2026. Our priority is in finding the right person to enjoy our studio and neighbourhood and who will respect both. Please do not hesitate to be in touch for any further information you require. Please note that the attached photos were taken in March of this year and show the studio after a recent refurbishment. With Best wishes Simon and family
