We are a couple of university professors who recently built our dream home—a modern, 300m² sanctuary on a lush 1,000m² lot in the peaceful Chácara Santa Margarida district. Having spent our lives in the academic world, we understand that research requires more than just a desk; it requires a serene environment, an inspiring atmosphere, and, occasionally, the warmth of a like-minded community. Who We Are & What We Believe Though we are retired, we maintain a "young spirit." We are humanists, lovers of art, cinema, and world culture, and we deeply value diversity and inclusion. Our home is a space where different perspectives are welcomed and respected. The Space: Modern, Accessible, and Serene Our house was completed just 5 years ago with a focus on high-end comfort and total accessibility. - A Truly Accessible Home: As a single-story, step-free residence (300m²), the layout ensures effortless mobility. - Your Suite: A spacious, private retreat featuring air conditioning, a dedicated workstation for your "deep work" sessions, a minibar for your convenience, and a fully accessible private bathroom. Upon request, we can provide a double or single bed and install a 42-inch TV. - The Grounds: Relax in our 1,000m² garden, where you can wake up to the sound of birds and help us pick bananas, blackberries, or acerolas from our trees. - Amenities for the Modern Scholar: High-speed Wi-Fi, weekly professional cleaning (including fresh linens and towels), shared access to a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and even an EV charging station for electric vehicles. We look for individuals who value a quiet, smoke-free, and pet-free environment and who treat a home with the same care they would their own. Please note that for insurance and privacy reasons, we do not host children or pets, and we do not lend our personal vehicle.
