This light-filled, one bedroom apartment is in the heart of Brunswick East with all the restaurants, cafes, cosy bars, galleries, parks, micro-breweries, cinemas, community gardens, bakeries, music venues, markets, gyms, etc that this great neighbourhood has to offer. Nestled at the back of the building - the east side – on the 6th floor, you can sip your morning coffee or evening aperitif, while watching the world and clouds go by from the balcony with its 180 degree view across to the mountains. Early risers can watch the sun rise over the Dandenong Ranges and occasional hot air balloons float across the skyline. The apartment is exceptionally well-located. Trams 1 and 6 are virtually right outside the front door, dropping you at Melbourne University in about 20 mins or RMIT City Campus in about 25 . These tram lines also stop at Melbourne Central and Flinders St train stations, and Melbourne’s Arts Precinct. Royal Melbourne, Royal Children’s, and St Vincent’s Hospitals are about 30mins away, and Australian Catholic University about 40 mins. Cycling to Melb and RMIT is often the fastest and I can provide tips on the best (safest) paths to get where you’re going. The space is suitable for one person or a couple. It has one queen-sized bedroom, lots of cupboard space, a fully equipped kitchen, separate bathroom, separate ’European’ laundry, stereo, TV, WIFI, and split system heating and cooling. All linen and kitchenware etc is provided. There’s a study nook with natural light, a comfy office chair, and a large monitor. There’s also a sofa bed for an occasional visitor and little extras like beach towels, board games, even a boules set, and umbrellas. You really only need your laptop and suitcase/backpack. There’s a small, local supermarket on the ground floor of the building open early and late; with larger supermarkets, fresh food, and organic markets within a kilometre. The famous Victoria Market is also a tram ride away. It is in a modern apartment building with the usual security access systems and the benefit of an on-site, friendly building manager. This was my home for over a decade, so the friendly neighbours might even let you get your dog walking or cat sitting fix. It is a strictly non-smoking home both inside and out. Electricity, water, gas and high-speed internet are included in the weekly rate. Secure car parking in the garage can be arranged. My partner and I still live in the building, a mere couple of floors away, so we’re around if you need something but I will leave you to enjoy the place as if it were your own. As I remain a "Brunny East" local, I'm very happy to suggest places to eat (best pizza just across the road), things to do, ways to get around, even local doctors, and connections with friends at several universities. We could even have a cuppa. I've traveled and have had my time as an ex-pat, so am more than happy to answer any questions, provide more photos, etc.
