Beautiful, modern, light-filled, architect-designed home in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood in East Vancouver which is where the heart of Vancouver lives. Our home has floor-to-ceiling southern exposure windows on the main living level facing the back yard which is professionally landscaped and very private. The house is open-plan with the kitchen completely open to the dining area and living room. Large sliding glass doors from both the kitchen and living room open onto an intimate upper deck where you can relax on a sectional (even under the rain should that occur) and enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon glass of wine, or cocktails by the gas fire pit. There are very large windows in the master bedroom on the ground floor, also facing south, so the entire house is flooded with light regardless of the weather. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove, top-quality knives, appliances and cookware. The backyard is perfect for entertaining with plenty of outdoor furniture, dining table, and large barbecue. The location is exceptional with restaurants (including several that are Michelin-rated/nodded), retail and grocery stores, bars, and all services within walking distance. You can walk to our local French bakery in a few minutes every morning for your fix of excellent coffee and French pastries, or enjoy their wonderful lunch selections. Access to all points north, south, east and west via public transport is within an easy 5 minute walk. Our home is a 10-15 minute drive (or 20-25 minutes by bus) to downtown, including BC Place Stadium where FIFA games will be played. Regarding sleeping arrangements: there is currently accommodation for 5 guests. The main house includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom, with a king bed and ensuite with walk-in shower and soaker tub, is on the lower level. On the top floor of the house, there is one single/day bedroom with its own full bathroom. A private garden suite that is separate from the main house has a queen bed, full bathroom with shower, French doors, and skylights.
