We are looking for tenants who value a quiet, private, fully equipped turnkey home and will treat it with care. Ideal tenants are visiting scholars, faculty, postdocs, or professionals temporarily relocating to Berkeley. Families are welcome, though small children will require supervision near the staircase. We also consider tenants temporarily renovating their primary residence and welcome groups of colleagues or friends, provided there is one primary leaseholder responsible for the rental agreement, rent, and any incidental costs. The home is available for fixed-term stays of 2–8 months, with preference for longer stays. Shorter stays may be accepted at higher rates. Tenants should be responsible, respectful, and able to move forward promptly. This modern 4BR, 2.5BA home features sleek minimalist furnishings, seamless indoor–outdoor flow to a low-maintenance backyard, and a long private driveway. Amenities include Level-2 Tesla charger, smart lighting, radiant heating, dual Nest thermostats, and utilities are included (reasonable use). The location combines privacy with convenience: peaceful South Berkeley, yet within 10–20 minutes by bike to UC Berkeley, and close to public transit, shops, and restaurants. We are UC professors, who will be traveling, and coming back to the house in August 2027. It is available as a fully furnished temporary residence.
