Our two-level condo is bright and airy, with both a large balcony and a private courtyard. The detached building has windows on all sides; it was built by a man for his wife, Irène, after whom the building is named. The co-proprietors on the second and third floors are friendly and quiet. Main kitchen/dining/living area/powder room upstairs; kitchenette/family/tv room/large bathroom (spa tub + shower) downstairs. Desk in the quiet downstairs bedroom, though could be moved elsewhere. This is our home, so the appliances, dishes, cookware, sheets, furniture are of a high, personal quality that we love and take care of. I am a writer living with my teenage son, My work is remote, his schooling is somewhat flexible, and he will be doing a spring term out west, we may stay there through the summer and/or into fall. This condo is ideal for a couple or small family, or a solo traveler who would like to use the downstairs bedroom as a dedicated study/guest room. The whole condo was repainted and refurbished, including new induction stove, summer 2025. We're incredibly close to both bus and metro lines, and walkable to shops, cafes, excellent restaurants, banks, etc. University of Montreal is a short walk, the others are easy to get to by metro or bike. The neighborhood is charmed, filled with tree-lined streets, parks, an outdoor public pool, peaceful yet close to the excitement of Mile End, the Plateau, Little Italy, etc. There are libraries and bookstores nearby. A BIXI (bike rental) station is just down the street. Great neighborhood schools. I easily walk to Jean Talon Market and also to Mont Royal. To keep in mind re: accessibility: there are a few steps up from the street to the main level, and stairs inside between levels. I am looking for a good personal fit with whomever will stay here as this is our home, and I want you to feel at home and as comfortable as possible. Dates may be flexible; rate includes wifi and utilities, and may be negotiable for longer stays. A good fit is what I'm after. References, renters insurance, required. Video available upon request.

Comments: Outremont is the gem of Montreal: quiet, full of parks, tree-line streets, beautiful architecture, cafes, restaurants, and close to the mountain, the universities, and all the activity of Mile End and the Plateau
Comments: Up to 3 months and/or summer rental is $3500/mo. Longer and/or off-season stay is $2500/mo Can do up to a 6 month lease (and then do another lease if longer stay is required). I just put $3200 up above as a kind of average :)
Comments: Upper level has closed bedroom, powder room, open concept kitchen/dining/living area, with a large balcony. Lower level has full bathroom, kitchenette, family/tv room, closed bedroom, private courtyard.
Negotiable. The courtyard has a few palmiers and ferns, and there are houseplants, mostly succulents. I can arrange to have care outsourced, but watering takes only about 5 minutes per week.
