We are a faculty couple at the University of Washington (UW) and will be away on sabbatical from March to August 2026. During this period, we are looking to rent our home to responsible visitors who will appreciate a quiet, comfortable, and convenient place to live. We welcome inquiries from scholars, families, and others seeking a well-located home close to UW. Our house is in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, a peaceful residential area within easy walking distance of the University of Washington campus, University Village, the Union Bay Natural Area, and public pier on Lake Washington. The UW light rail station is also walkable, providing reliable access to downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill, and the airport. Seattle Children’s Hospital, SR-520, Microsoft Connector stops, and major bus routes are nearby as well, making the location practical for academic work, daily errands, and commuting around the city. The home is fully furnished and ready for use. It includes two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, two dedicated office spaces, and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The layout supports a comfortable balance between work and daily living. The living room is spacious and bright, with large windows and a view toward the lake, making it an inviting space for reading, hosting visitors, or enjoying quiet evenings. The property has both a front and back yard, with trees surrounding the home and creating a calm and private setting. The area is walkable, with good sidewalks and easy access to parks, trails, cafés, grocery stores, and campus resources. We prefer tenants who will stay for the full sabbatical period or a substantial portion of it, but we are open to shorter stays depending on timing and fit. Our main priority is finding someone who will care for the home and appreciate the environment.
