I would love to find people who love where I live as much as I do. I would like it to be a home from home for them. It is a wonderful place to write, to work, to read, to study. It is great for kids as there is communal space outside with a garden, playground and tennis courts. The flat is ideal for a couple with one child, or a couple who want an extra room for visitors / so that they both have a study. The flat is part of a mansion block dating from the 1920s which was completed in the 1970s and had many writers and artists living there over the years. My neighbours are writers, analysts, doctors etc and the atmosphere is harmonious yet private. The way the flat is decorated is very personal to me. I have spent much of my life in the Arab world. I have travelled a lot, moved a lot and have finally found my base here. The main bedroom is huge (shown as a reception on the plan). The study is fully equipped with a printer. The kitchen is also fully stocked. There is a large dining table for entertaining (end room). One bedroom, my daughter's, will remain locked (master bedroom on plan). There are guitars and a piano you are free to use. For anyone who lives elsewhere, but has a strong professional or personal connection to London, I will be travelling more now that my children have left home, so finding people who become friends of my home who want to come back will enable me to work by isolating myself from time to time, would be fantastic. I would adjust the rates for the right people, for longer stays, or if only one bedroom is needed. Also if there are any tenants who are keen to look after my cats (which otherwise I will be finding a separate home for). The flat is in West Hampstead which is a vibrant area with a varied, useful high street, with supermarkets (Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tescos) cafes, pubs, a library, wine bars and restaurants. It is close to Hampstead Village & Heath and well connected (Jubilee Line, Overground, Thameslink). Direct train links to Gatwick and Luton Airports.

Comments: West Hampstead is a lesser known gem of London living, with a thriving high street with many cafes, restaurants and shops. It is a 15 minute walk from Hampstead and the Heath, with its ponds for bathing, walks. On Tube, Overground and Thameslink.
Comments: The rate would go down depending on the length of stay and other factors (willingness to look after cats, season, number of people). I will close off my daughter's bedroom (master bedroom on plan). Tennis court key will be provided.
Comments: I do not mind people smoking on the balcony, but not in the flat. On street parking for residents can be arranged. I have cats who will not be here. Dogs are not allowed by the building management, I'm afraid.
I can arrange for the cats to stay elsewhere, but there are two cats (twins) who like some affection and food. No litter tray they have a cat flap. Very independent and friendly.
Unlikely that anything will be ordered, but if mail is sent for me, I would request it is put aside / given to a neighbour for me to collect.
There are a few indoor plants that need watering and many on the balcony. In the winter some watering is needed, but low maintenance. There is a hose on the balcony. Summer months more frequently.
Comments: There are lots of books in the flat, which I will photograph, but I do not want the order of them to be changed. My neighbours are close to me and the harmony of the block is important. Parties are okay, but courtesy and manners are important.

Comments: Gyms and pools nearby. 2nd floor. Intercom system. Central heating (off in the summer). Fans, travel cot can be provided. Communal gardens, two tennis courts. On street parking. Direct train to St. Pancras / British Library.
