We’re a family currently living abroad for professional reasons and are looking for thoughtful tenants to enjoy our home while we’re away. Our house is located in Orange, Connecticut, a peaceful, family-friendly town known for its excellent schools and easy access to New Haven and its surrounding area as well as northern Fairfield County. Our home is a large, comfortable Colonial with a more modern interior feel; spacious, bright, and designed for family living. It has four bedrooms upstairs and three and a half bathrooms throughout the house. The primary bedroom has its own en suite bath, and there’s another full bathroom upstairs, a half bath near the kitchen, and a full bath in the finished basement. The basement adds approximately 800 square feet of additional living space to the 2,592 square feet on the main floors. It includes a large playroom/living area, a home office (or guest bedroom), a workout nook, and the full bath. It’s a versatile space that’s great for both work and relaxation. The main level features a kitchen with dining nook, a welcoming sitting area with a small dry bar and beverage refrigerator, and multiple comfortable gathering spaces, including a large living room and large dining room. The home has an inviting, modern-yet-warm feel. It is easy to settle into and make your own. Outside, there’s a large grassy yard (about an acre) that’s perfect for children to play or for enjoying quiet time outdoors. The property also includes a deck, an attached two-car garage, and a paved driveway with plenty of space for parking. Our home is in a wonderful neighborhood within the sought-after Amity school district, with Turkey Hill Elementary School just a seven-minute drive away. It’s also a short commute to Yale University, Quinnipiac University, and to Fairfield universities making it ideal for a visiting professor or family on temporary assignment in the area. The house will be available from the end of December through the end of June. We’re open to shorter-term stays of at least one month, but ideally would love someone interested in being here for the full time it is available. We’ve loved raising our family here, and we’re hoping to find tenants who will treat the home with the same care and warmth we have.
