This apartment is a true gem. It’s fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I recently moved in with my partner and left all the furniture and utilities, so the flat feels much more homely and complete than a typical furnished rental. Located on the 3rd floor of a beautiful 1890s building, it has high ceilings, wooden floors, and faces the back courtyard, which makes it very quiet and full of light. One highlight is the large, sunny balcony — perfect for brunch, reading, or relaxing. The kitchen includes an oven, stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washing machine. The big living room offers a cozy sofa and armchair to hang out and read, and a big desk with bookshelves for working. The bedroom comes with a comfortable queen bed, spacious shelving for clothes, and a second desk, ideal if two people need to work separately. The apartment is on Warschauer Strasse between Kopernikusstrasse and Grünberger Strasse. That is a perfect location, as you are well connected and in a very nice neighborhood: You are directly at the lively Boxi (Boxhagener Platz) Kiez (neighborhood) featuring many amazing restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and the like. Still, you don't have to pass through it daily when going into the city center or elsewhere, saving much time. You are very quickly at U/S-Bahn Warschauer Str (direct connection to the airport and main train station, among others) and U-Bahn Frankfurter Tor (direct connection to HU Berlin). By subway or bike, you are also quickly in Kreuzberg and Neukölln, which are two other vibrant neighborhoods. Also, while Warschauer Str. can be loud, the flat is in the back house and super quiet. There is a Späti (24/7 store) in the building and directly on the block are good restaurants (pizza, burrito), as well as two coffee shops perfect for working, and a bakery. Thus: maximal comfort. The place is ideal for queer people, with major clubs, such as Berghain, and three wonderful queer bars in Friedrichshain very close by (Capture, Große Freiheit, Himmelreich). Further queer bars are just a few subway stops at Kotti (Möbel Olfe and Südblock). You can register (Anmeldung/Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). You'll need private liability insurance (about 5 EUR a month with flexible plans). I used Airbnb to rent out only the small room for a while.
