Description
I'm travelling during May and Aug-Dec with flexible with dates. My apartment is suitable for a single person or a couple, and would be a great home base for exploring Melbourne. I'd love to swap with someone in the northeastern U.S. or Canada (Montréal, Boston, NYC, D.C.). This might also be a good way to 'test drive' Australia (if you're looking to move out of the U.S.). The apartment is located between two large parks, a 5-min walk to the Zoo, and a 10-min walk to the hipster cafes, bars, thrift shops, and music venues in Brunswick. The major hospitals and the University of Melbourne are 25 min walk or a 8-min tram ride down Royal Parade. I'm more than happy to provide recs for food and arts, and my brother is 1 km away and can help you out if anything arises while you're staying.

Comments: There is a covered, secure parking space if you decide to bring/rent a car, but I don’t have a car and everything you need is within tram/walking distance. Smoking: smoking on the balcony is totally fine, but not in the apt please. Vaping is okay.

Comments: Fully equipped kitchen w/ Sodastream, Moccamaster coffee machine, stainless steel pots & pans, microwave, blender, toaster, large rice cooker, oven, induction cooktop, and a two-drawer dishwasher (no bending down!). Plus, a Weber BBQ on the balcony.

Comments: Very flexible dates beginning in early September (for second semester Australia/fall semester in the Northern Hemisphere). Other dates in the Australian summer (December 2026 to Feb 2027) could also work.
