Update: The property is now leased for the upcoming academic year. I am currently accepting inquiries for short-term rentals (July 1 – August 18, 2026) and long-term leases starting June 1, 2027, and beyond. Given the high volume of inquiries and my schedule as a pre-tenure faculty member, I apologize that I cannot reply to every message. If you do not hear back, please conclude that the property is not a good fit. I am a local professor. This is a home I’ve been building over the past two years, thoughtfully furnished with premium furniture and appliances--things that will make you feel at home, such as Saatva Latex mattress, West Elm leather sofa, Uplift adjustable standing desk, Herman Miller office chair, Zojirushi rice cooker, KitchenAid mixer, Baratza coffee grinder, Dyson fan, Dyson vacuum machine, Le Creuset Dutch oven, Blu Dot sofa with queen-sized memory foam pull-out bed, and Frigidaire fridge with filtered water and ice maker. It even includes a massage chair to help unwind after long hours at the desk. There is a designated, private parking spot right next to the house with an EV charger, and a generous storage space in the basement, both of which are rare in Cambridge. The location is ideal: within walking distance of Harvard Square and Central Square (T Red Lines) where my gym and yoga studios are located, one block from the Charles River and Whole Foods, and two blocks from Trader Joe’s. I walk to nearby cafes, Boston University, Widener Library, and the Cambridge Public Library to study. I will provide high-speed Internet and water free of charge. You will pay for electricity and gas. Since this is my own home, I would especially welcome responsible tenants (including families) who will be intentional about the space and appreciate its character — the spacious kitchen for hosting dinner parties, the quiet backyard for reading, the beautiful surroundings for riverside walks, and the vibrant intellectual and artistic community that Cambridge offers.
