We are offering a lovely Cambridge home for rent. The location couldn’t be more convenient: it’s an easy commute to Harvard, MIT, and most other Boston-area universities and research institutions. Boston and Kendall Square are also just a quick trip away. The house comes with a dedicated parking spot (a rare find in Cambridge!) and access to a beautiful, private garden. The garden is one of our favorite features — you’ll find flowers, trees, and space to relax, plus a BBQ grill that you’re welcome to use. Inside, the home offers 3 bedrooms plus a separate office, making it perfect for families or anyone who needs space to work from home. There’s a comfortable living and dining room, 1.5 bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. The house also has in-unit laundry for your convenience. Architecturally, it’s a gem: soaring ceilings, warm wood floors, and unique angles that make the space feel both cozy and inspiring. Large windows bring in great natural light, and the layout offers a nice mix of open spaces and private rooms. The neighborhood is fantastic for both adults and kids. Our own children are in kindergarten and second grade, and their public school (as well as several other highly rated ones) is less than a 10-minute walk. There are multiple playgrounds nearby, plus grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and farmer’s markets within walking distance. For weekend adventures, we recommend the Harvard Museum of Natural History (a huge hit with kids), the Science Museum, and the many libraries and cultural institutions close by. We’ll be living right next door, so if you need help settling in, recommendations for local spots, or just a friendly neighbor to say hello, we’re happy to be available. At the same time, you’ll have full privacy and the space to make the house your own during your stay. This is a wonderful home base in Cambridge for a visiting scholar, family on sabbatical, or anyone seeking a welcoming and well-situated place to live while in the Boston area.
