Description

Welcome to my lakefront home on Hay Bay. If you are looking for quiet, space, and a place that helps you think more clearly, this property tends to do that for people. It’s an elegant, tastefully decorated bungalow set on seven acres of flat, wooded land with 300 feet of shoreline, creating a peaceful place to settle in. You cannot see neighbours from the property, and the area stays calm throughout the year. Most mornings begin with a sunrise right over the water. It is one of those views that makes you slow down before the day even starts. In the evenings, you can sit by the fire, listen to the water, the breeze, and nothing else. One of the things that makes this place truly special is the swan sanctuary on the property. Some days, there are only a few drifting near the shore. On other days, guests have counted close to one hundred swans gathering on the water or resting along the shoreline. It is a beautiful thing to witness. And deer move through the property from time to time, adding to the feeling of being immersed in nature. Inside the house, everything is set up so you can stay comfortably for a long stretch of time. There are four bedrooms (7 beds) and 2.5 bathrooms. The kitchen has full-sized appliances and all the essentials, including a rice cooker, an air fryer, a full-size fridge, a mini bar fridge, and a dishwasher. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer. The living room has a fireplace, which makes fall and winter feel warm and cozy. There is fast Wi-Fi and a proper desk for focused work. The semi-finished basement has a pool table and a woodstove for evenings when you want to unwind. The main bedroom has a king bed with views of the water, a walk-out deck, a walk-in closet and a large ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi that looks onto the bay. It is a peaceful place to start and end your day. Everything is set up the way a retreat should be, so you only need to bring your personal belongings. The land itself is the highlight for many guests. You can walk the property without seeing anyone. In the warmer months, you can fish from the shore or take the canoe and kayaks out. The lot is flat and open, which makes it easy to explore. In winter, the lake often freezes into a smooth, quiet surface, and many people enjoy skating or simply walking along it. No matter the season, there is a sense of calm here that is hard to find. If you are curious about how others experienced the space, you can check the comments on my Airbnb listing: airbnb.ca/h/entire-home-on-private-7-acres-stunning-lakefront. Guests often leave thoughtful notes about the swans, the sunrise views, and how relaxed they felt during their stay. You are close to many places worth visiting. Kingston is about 30 minutes away. Prince Edward County and Sandbanks are 60 minutes away with wineries and restaurants. Napanee is the closest stop for groceries and essentials. This home is perfect for people on sabbatical. Writers. Researchers. Professionals who need a calm environment for remote work. Families with older children who enjoy being outdoors. Young children are welcome, but the home is not childproofed and may not be ideal for toddlers. About me: My name is Peng. I am an entrepreneur and tech executive, and I split my time between my home in Kingston, travel, and this house. I genuinely care about creating a space where people can settle in, do the work they need to do, rest, and reflect. I love hosting guests who appreciate nature, quiet, and a slower pace. If you are looking for a place where you can focus, rest, create, or breathe a little deeper, this home usually gives people exactly that. I look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful haven.
