4 BR, 2.5 bath house just one block to sandy beach and Long Island Sound. Our house is comfortable with an open floor plan, lots of light and modern furnishings. We have games, TV with streaming access, beach chairs/umbrellas/toys, stand up paddle boards, and adult-sized bikes. One large main bedroom is on the second floor with king sized Tempur-pedic bed, separate office area, and en suite bathroom, large soaking tub with air jets. On the same floor are three other good sized bedrooms (two single beds in one room and full sized beds in two rooms) with full hallway bath. Another bathroom with laundry area is on the first floor. The large, well-equipped kitchen opens to the dining room and sitting area, as well as an enclosed back porch. The home has central air conditioning, solar electricity, and on-demand hot water. We have a fenced back yard with a grill and fire pit. The driveway can accommodate up to two cars and has an EV charging station. Additional street parking is plentiful and free. The public access to the beach is right at the end of our block, a 2 minute walk. Walnut Beach, less than 1 mile away, has a creamery with delicious ice cream, a surf shop that rents kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, bikes, and scooters, as well as a cooking school, several restaurants, and a convenience store. The Audubon Coastal Center is also within walking distance and offers family canoe trips, birding walks, and week-long camps for kids. We are about 3 miles from downtown Milford, CT which offers restaurants and shopping and frequently hosts craft fairs and other events during summer and fall. We are just 20 minutes from downtown New Haven which has great restaurants, art, culture, and nightlife and is the home of Yale University. Milford has a commuter train that goes to New York City. Boston is about 2.5 hours by car or Amtrak. Milford is accessible from the major New York airports (JFK and Laguardia, both about 1.5hrs), Tweed New Haven Airport (20 min), White Plains Airport (1hr), Bradley Airport (Hartford/Springfield, (1.25 hrs) and by Amtrak to New Haven or Bridgeport (each about 15-20 min).
