Cozy Hudson Valley Retreat

We stayed at Sarah’s “Quiet Country Cottage” for 5 months and would not recommend it. The property has major issues, including a large sewage-related sinkhole in the driveway that was never fixed. In winter, pipes froze, leaving us without water or toilets for days, and heating on the lower level was inadequate. Repairs were frequent but often temporary—contractors were on-site 25 days in 4 months. There were electrical concerns, rodents in the walls, and an ineffective dryer. A major construction project next door (estimated to continue through 2027) caused constant noise and debris, which we were not warned about. Communication with Sarah was often dismissive, and we received a rent increase with less than 30 days’ notice.
