Historic inner city haven

See the gorgeous pics! The dear cat George is now gone sadly - but the pics are so sweet of him! The other person in the pic is William who is the other owner with me, Josie. We have a beautiful 1860s house in a small street just off Ponsonby Road - which is Auckland's buzziest and best inner city suburb. It is an historic area of early wooden houses. We are going away to Australia for a year and one of us will be back for about a week half way through - hence we are not allowing use of the self contained studio and garage. We are careful and proud homeowners and gardeners but not precious. We have a well-stocked library for you to read and write and relax... cooks will love the big Bosch oven and cast iron cookware. We have several outdoor eating areas for the hot summer months and are just 5 mins drive from beautiful golden sand beaches. Yet only a 10 minute uber from the city centre. Or take a bus from the top of the road. Our house is historic and delicate and we are looking for careful carers who will appreciate all her kinks and squeaks... and the odd cobweb - but we have mod cons such as central heating and 2 open fires for extra ambience. If you love homes and gardens you will love our house and it would be great if you could be atuned to the needs of plants in the hot summer months on the days our gardener doesn't come. If you fancy mowing the lawn that is great but we will have that covered. Water is the biggest need - and of course picking the beautiful flowers... we have lovely neighbours and we all respect each other's privacy and quiet enjoyment so no parties, loud music or large gatherings please.
