Come experience true west-coast island life in our fully furnished 3bdrm cottage on Denman Island. The cottage is a 1 min walk to a secluded beach and very close to old-growth forest with salmon-bearing stream and meandering walking trails. Three generous bedrooms, two living areas and a sunny, well-equipped kitchen. The cottage easily accommodates 4 adults, or a family. It has a large, fully fenced backyard with evergreen trees, a storage shed with bikes available for use on-island and a rustic play structure. Well behaved pets are welcome. The cottage has a cozy wood burning fireplace and a new heat pump for cooler months. Two full bathrooms, in-suite laundry and a fully equipped kitchen. Denman Island has an excellent general store, farm-to-table local restaurant(s) with regular live music as well as a well-stocked hardware/everything store, a bookstore and great little coffee shop (to name a few!). There is a regular Saturday farmers market (Summer/Spring) and farm stands across the island. The artsy community is very friendly and welcoming. It's a short drive or easy 20minute bike-ride to an excellent swimming lake and a nice 100m stroll from cottage to a very safe beach for swimming, exploring rockpools and hiking the coastline. Easy access on/off the island with a regular ferry that takes 10mins across to Vancouver Island (Buckley Bay). Also, easy access over to Hornby Island, which is famous for its white sandy beach at Tribune Bay. Early childhood and elementary school on Island. High school students travel by ferry/bus to Courtenay - about 40mins each way including the ferry. The cottage is available from October 1st 2026 for minimum 3-month period.
