All of London is easily accessible from this super central location. *** ABOUT ME: - A reformed academic now working with one of the agencies of the United Nations. Mostly resident in Melbourne/Bangkok. PhD from the University of Cambridge and former postdoc at UCL. - The London place is my future retirement home. It's a renovated "garden flat" (English parlance) in a Victorian townhouse and advertised as a studio to capture its unique feel. LOOKING FOR: - Researchers/academics who will appreciate and look after this unique space and its aesthetics. - The apartment is extremely well located for all the London universities and the incomparable British Library. - Happy to discuss terms to find the right match for the space. PROCESS: In general, the process as follows (adjustments can be discussed) - Please send a message via Sabbatical Homes (SH) and tell me a bit about yourself, where you work, and why you need the flat etc. Please include dates you are looking for, and who will be staying at the flat. - I'll respond with will ask for copies (or screenshots) of reviews you have on any rental platforms As the SH site doesn't allow attachments, I'll share my email. - Once preliminaries are agreed, I'll send a draft agreement for the stay based on the SH template. - The guest will review and add any additional information, and sign the agreement. I'll ask for a copy of ID. - I'll countersign and send it back to you. - I'll ask payment to be made in two parts: (1) 50% when the agreement is signed; (2) 50% before the check in date . - Once the first payment is received, I'll announce a match on SH for you to confirm and will block the dates. - Check in 4pm; Check out 11am. Self check-in info will be provided a few days before check in date. - London-based co-host contact will be provided to support during the stay. - Receipt for stay can be provided on request,

Comments: Rates have some flexibility depending on the season and length of stay. All utilities included. An one-off cleaning fee of GBP 80 will be added to all bookings.
Comments: Many car share services in London if vehicles are needed, but the flat is very centrally located for public transport links.
Gardening enthusiasts welcome. Will need to do some sweeping of leaves in the garden to stop them clogging up the drains.
