We are seeking academic or graduate student renters for the spring 2025, and the 2026-2027 academic year (from September 2026 through May 2027). We live in Hawaii, but use the house during the summers as a base for biological research in Colorado, and to organize an annual academic symposium in Vail. The house can be occupied by a single family, or shared among up to three individuals. The house is a ranch-style home built in 1955, and subsequently remodeled, with new windows, roof, climate control, brick walks and driveway, and an upgraded electrical system. It is wired for both high speed internet and cable TV, with the former service provided. There are 3 bedrooms, two baths, a large living room and dining room, and a library with French doors opening onto the back patio. There is a full kitchen with modern appliances including a gas stove, and a wide array of pots, pans, silverware and other assorted cookware. The laundry room in the basement has a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. The home sits on an 8100 square foot lot with large, mature shade trees and a secluded back yard with a patio. Storage space for bicycles is available in the detached garage, which also houses a second refrigerator and freezer. The location is within 1.25 miles of Denver University and the Iliff School of Theology, both of which can be reached by bicycle or foot along quiet back streets. A bus stop with service to the nearby universities is less than one block away. Parking is available for one car in the driveway, and ample additional parking is available on the street. Trash and recycling service, and lawn service during the warmer months, is provided with the rental at no extra charge.
