Bright and spacious family home in green and walkable neighbourhood

Description

Our neighbourhood is very walkable and family friendly. Half a block away is Fleury street, with everything you need: groceries, bakeries, cafés, restaurants, unique small businesses, etc. There is a library and cultural center, and a free indoor pool, both about a 10 minute walk away. We are a 15 minute walk from Henri-Bourassa metro (orange line) and a 5 minute walk from major bus lines, so it is easy to get downtown or to other parts of the city by public transportation. It is about a 20 minute ride by metro to get downtown. We have a private parking space, and a back yard with patio furniture, a BBQ, and a hammock. There is a park 1.5 blocks from our home that has a splash pad and wading pool, as well as playground, and another park a 10 minute walk away. We are a 5 minute walk from the river (Riviere des Prairies). There is a walking path and a bike path along it, and in the summer months you can rent kayaks to explore the river. From June to October there is a farmer's market in the neighbourhood every Saturday where you can get local produce and treats. We are also close to the nature park Parc de l'île de la visitation, along the river, which has lovely walking/running/biking trails. Our home is a 4 bedroom single-family home (one bedroom has a Queen sized bed, and the other three have twin beds). Two bedrooms are upstairs, and two are on the ground floor. We also have a comfortable Queen-sized sofa-bed in the basement. The basement serves as home office and TV room, and is also where our laundry room is found (washer and dryer). Our living room is cozy and bright, and has a piano. The kitchen is functional and fully equipped. We have two bathrooms: the upstairs bathroom has a shower, and the ground-floor bathroom has a bathtub. In our opinion, the highlight of our home is the sunny solarium, which opens off of the kitchen-dining area and is a bright and cozy place to hang out. Our home is kid-friendly, and we have toys, board games, books (in both French and English), etc that you would be welcome to use.
