Spend your sabbatical /visit in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Vancouver, close to the UBC Campus. The house sits on a 66x 168 foot lot on a quiet street with no through traffic. It is three stories, with 4 bedrooms and 1 full bath upstairs on a mix of fir flooring and carpet. The main floor has a dining room, living room, kitchen, breakfast area, family room and half bathroom. Character oak hardwood floors on the main floor. Yes, there are fire places in the photographs, but they cannot be used (no wood fires allowed in Vancouver these days). There is a full sized basement with an office, half bathroom, separate shower, and ample space for playing or storage. The washer and dryer are in the basement. There is a large private back yard with two apple trees, a raspberry patch, and huge flowering rhododendrons in spring. The house is furnished, with a queen bed in the master bedroom, and twins in the other three bedrooms. Fully stocked kitchen with plates and utensils. A variety of bedding and towels. The neighbourhood is 10 minutes by bus from UBC, with a bus stop 1 block away. It is short walk down to Spanish Banks beach and the Jericho Sailing Center. There is a shopping neighbourhood a 15 minute walk away. Queen Mary elementary school is a few blocks away, and Lord Byng High school is a short drive or bike. One block away is a small family friendly park. The house is being rented out by a UBC professor and a UBC-affiliated medical professional. Reference and credit checks required. Tenants insurance required. No group rentals. 1/2 month rent security deposit and first month rent on signing a lease. We would prefer a longer leases, but willing to consider times down to 3 months.
