This cozy and quiet home is located in El Genovés, a rural area above the historic town of Garachico, on the northwestern coast of Tenerife (Canary Islands). Hidden among volcanic landscapes and Atlantic views, it is a small refuge surrounded by silence, birdsong, and natural light — ideal for academics, remote professionals, writers, artists, or creatives seeking peace, inspiration, and a slower rhythm of life. The house includes one bedroom with a double bed, a charming mezzanine sleeping area with two single beds (best suited for older children, short stays, or occasional guests due to the low ceiling height), a comfortable living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen opening onto the terrace, and one bathroom with shower and washing machine. The decor is simple, warm, and functional, with Wi-Fi connection and spectacular panoramic sea views stretching across the Atlantic, visible from both inside and outside the home. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed every day from the covered terrace. Although the house can technically sleep up to four people, it is most comfortable for one or two guests. The house is reached via a short dirt path of around three minutes on foot from the TF-82 road, where parking is available nearby. The little village of Genovés is only three minutes away by car, where you can find all the basics you may need, including a small traditional supermarket, pharmacy, and lovely local places for breakfast. Garachico’s historic town center and natural swimming pools are about 10–15 minutes away by car. A car is highly recommended, both for reaching the house comfortably and for exploring the island in general. The house runs in a simple and sustainable way using solar panels and bottled gas. As we do not live on the island, it is lovingly managed by a local friend who welcomes guests, explains how everything works, and helps us care for the home. For this reason, there is a €50 cleaning fee paid directly to her upon arrival. Whether you’re working on a book, researching, hiking the island, working remotely, or simply taking a breath between projects, this is a peaceful place to disconnect, recharge, and live for a while above the Atlantic Ocean.
