Located in Eagle Rock, a trendy neighborhood located in NELA (North East Los Angeles) close to Occidental College. Tons of fun local spots to eat, drink, shop and hang out; a short drive to Downtown LA, Echo Park, Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley. Right next to other popular neighborhoods like Silverlake, Highland Park, Atwater Village and Glassell Park. The street is up a hill, and it's a great area for walks around the neighborhood, down through the college campus and to the nearby recreation center, which has a pool, basketball and volleyball courts, a large athletic field and events. There are bars, restaurants, coffeehouses and shops in walking distance, but for most errands you'll probably want to drive. (Although anything you want is within 5-10 minutes.) And yes: it's LA, so you'll want a car. Nearby (driving distance): Dodger Stadium (20 minutes), Universal City (25 minutes), Hollywood (30 minutes), Santa Monica (1 hour). Hollywood/Burbank Airport is 30-45 minutes depending on traffic; LAX 1-1.5 hours. It's a 30-minute drive to Union Station (for train connections and LAX Flyaway). In terms of public transport, main bus routes run regularly on major cross streets less than a mile from house.
