The condo is a beautiful, classic Cambridge apartment. It is nicely decorated and feels like a home -- it's not cookie cutter! There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a full-size bed, a very well equipped eat-in kitchen with island, living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, an office nook off of the kitchen, and a huge outdoor covered deck. There is access to the shared yard and there is shared laundry in the basement (down 2 flights of stairs). Our neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, but has access to everything fun and urban. We are a few blocks from several parks with playgrounds, basketball courts, lots of green space, and tennis courts. There is an outdoor community swimming pool that is about a 15 min. walk. We are also very near the famous 12 mile Minuteman bike path. Within 12 minutes, you can walk to Porter Square where you will find great shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, bookstores, and a big grocery store. There is also a subway stop there --one stop inbound gets you to Harvard Square, and one stop outbound gets you to lively Davis Square. You can also walk to Davis or Harvard Square in 20 minutes. Just a few more stops on the subway and you are in Boston. We are also walking distance to the Huron Village neighborhood which has a favorite local bakery / cafe, the best gourmet food shop in town, a used book store, and a few lovely antique shops, boutiques and galleries. In addition, you can walk to a bike-share station where you can make use of the bicycles belonging to Boston's great bike share program. Or we can lend you a bike for the summer. Use of car negotiable, shared driveway parking is negotiable if you have a car.
