Classic San Francisco View Condo in a Beloved Neighborhood

Our sunny North Beach condo feels like a house and is minutes from many of San Francisco's most charming attractions. Located on a quiet block in a two unit building on the first level above the street (no elevator), it is comfortable and spacious (1700 square feet, 160 square meters). There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and on-suite bath, the other with a double bed and access to the second bathroom. The bedrooms are large, and there are wonderful views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from the kitchen, dining and living rooms,. There is also a large office, a separate TV/media room and a laundry room. There are two porches, front and back, with tables and chairs. In 5 minutes you can walk to Washington Square, the cultural, culinary and entertainment center of North Beach...or 10 minutesto Coit Tower at the top of Telegraph Hill...or to the waterfront, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. A 15 minute walk takes you into the heart of Chinatown. We're new to Sabbatical Homes but have done many home exchanges over more than 25 years. So, we know the pleasures of enjoying and caring for exchangers' homes while they are reciprocating in our home. We are seeking either an exchange (details below) or to rent our home and separtely find an equivalent rental. We're retired health professionals. Peter ran a healthcare-related survey research firm, and Connie was a psychotherapist. If anything, we're busier than ever now, with projects and travel. Peter is a native San Franciscan; Connie hails originally from Bogota, Colombia, spent her childhood in Chicago, and came west to graduate school at UC Berkeley some decades back. We love home/apartment exchanges; they've been enriching our lives, in Europe and throughout the Americas, for over 25 years -- originally we did them with our now grown children. Currently, we're seeking to fulfill a longstanding dream by spending the Fall of 2025 in Manhattan, NY. We know NYC quite well, but having never lived there, we want to spend an entire season living our lives there; pursuing our own personal projects as well as enjoying theatre, music and simply hanging out getting to know the neighborhood. If we can do this via a reciprocal exchange, so much the better. We are also open to renting our apartment for Fall, 2025 and separately looking for an equivalent rental in NYC.
