Furnished Craftsman in Main Line's Narberth for 2026/27 Academic Year

We’re looking for a family to take care of our house in Narberth while we spend a year away. Narberth is a gem of a neighborhood just a mile outside of Philadelphia. There’s easy access to the area’s colleges and universities (most are accessible from the commuter train, which is just 50 yards away). Downtown is a 20-minute train ride or 25-minute drive. 30th Street Station is a 15-minute train ride and the airport is a 40-minute train ride. Around the block from the house is a charming business district with a coffee shop, two bookstores, a bakery, an ice cream shop, a wine store, and several restaurants and bars. The public library, basketball courts, baseball field, and dog park are a short walk away. The Lower Merion schools are excellent (both our kids recently graduated from the local public high school). The house has five bedrooms (one is currently being used as a study/guestroom and another as a family room/study). The first floor has a large foyer with a gas fireplace, open living room/dining room, the kitchen and a half bathroom. The second floor has a bedroom, study, family room with half bath, and a full bathroom. The third floor has one large bedroom, one small bedroom, and a full bathroom. The basement has a washer/dryer and plenty of storage. There are lots of closets scattered around the house. The house has a large rocking chair front port and a fenced-in backyard with mature plantings. The landscaped backyard has a patio area with a firepit, a BBQ and hutch, a large picnic table, and a garage for outdoor storage. The yard requires maintenance or for a small fee we can arrange lawncare. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a gas stove, large refrigerator, and dishwasher. We would provide dishes, silverware, pots/pans, and utensils. The house has steam radiators, air conditioning, and washer/dryer. The utilities would be transfered to you and cable/internet can be provided at cost.
