Cozy, private guest house near Metro, Caltech, USC

Casey and his family were great hosts and the casita was an ideal place to stay. I could walk to the nearest Trader Joe's for groceries and the casita had all the amenities I needed to cook. Location-wise, the metro is a 10 minute walk away--extremely convienient, especially if you're staying in the area and don't have a car.

Casey and Jessica were communicative and respectful. I appreciated their willingness to be flexible with my travel plans. They were also very generous with their advice and recommendations for getting around the city without a car.

Casey's private guest house with a fenced-in yard in South Pasadena was exactly as advertised and provided a cozy and peaceful setting for my two-month stay. Beautiful neighborhood for walking, close to restaurants, grocery stores, library, and park. Plenty of parking and a small sitting area outside the cottage for enjoying the sun, coffee, or reading a book. Full kitchen with all utensils, dishes for making meals; plenty of hot water for showers. While my main purpose for renting was to visit family who live in the area, the casita is also an ideal place for research or writing. Furnishings are very simple, and the place is very quiet, with not a lot of distractions (no big screen TV!). Terrific host.
