My apartment is situated in a set of building designed by Jean Renaudie and Renée Gailhoustet in Ivry-sur-Seine, the Centre Jeanne Hachette, an architectural ensemble from the 1970s with amazing perspectives from the ground and the sky. The apartment itself resembles a loft, with a very large dining and living room area (over 45 m2), a big bedroom that can also be used as office space and offers two bunk beds, a main bedroom with direct access to the bathroom. This bedroom has no windows looking outside, but a bay window overlooking the dining and living rooms. It is extremely quiet. The apartment itself has a lot of charm, it is extremely bright and overlooks a square with other buildings by the same architect all around, which makes for a formidable sight. The apartment is very quiet. There is a parking space under the building. One special feature is that the apartment is set in an ensemble with apartments, offices and stores, which was the architects' original design. From the metro station, you need to walk across a shopping center (quite convenient by the way), down a corridor which takes you through municipal offices to a small closed plaza: the apartment is on the other side. It is clearly separated from the rest of the shopping center and municipal offices. There is also a ramp which provides direct access to the street and is convenient for wheel chairs. Once in the apartment, you are in a bubble, but access can be surprising at first. You quickly get used to it. The metro station (line 7) is a bare 3 minutes away, the RER C station 8 minutes away, both are extremely convenient to get to different parts of Paris, including all the central stations (Opera, for instance, is 30 minutes away). The 13th arrondissement is 20 minutes away by foot with all its amazing Asian restaurants. There is a very nice park near the apartment, and by car or bicycle, the bois de Vincennes is very accessible and offers multiple possibilities for running, picnicking, walking, ... You can also walk to the Seine and Marne rivers in 20 minutes and from there enjoy wonderful walks along both. Ivry-sur-Seine is a former working class neighborhood, very multicultural and extremely friendly. I personally enjoy working in central Paris and living in Ivry, I find it less stressful.
