We have a comfortable house with a relaxed pollinator garden, ten minutes from the NCSU campus and downtown Raleigh. We were anti-lawn permaculturists before leaving on sabbatical. We hope people interested in birds, bees, and native plants stay in our house while we are gone. What would you like? The house is close to downtown Raleigh, Garner, and Cary. There is a bus on our street (2x per hour) that can get you downtown, and the location has easy access to the greenway - walking and bike trails- and a park one street over. If you are into kayaking, there is also a lake nearby. If you like birds, we are regularly visited by cardinals, finches, wrens, hummingbirds, and bluebirds. These birds come to feed our perennial flower garden that includes native plants Joe Pye weed, cardinal flowers, asters, coneflowers, rudbeckias, liatris, and other flowering plants like lilies, irises and more. Feel free to harvest strawberries, blueberries, kale etc. This is not a property for people who don't like birds, dragonflies, butterflies, bumblebees, lizards etc.
