This unique artist's apartment is privately owned, and housed on the first floor (there is a mezzanine) of a typical late 19th-century Viennese building, The property is clean but not yet modernly renovated and is without an elevator. The apartment is comprised of a small cozy bedroom with a new double bed, a spacious living room with a dining area, and a kitchen that opens to the living room. The apartment is eclectically decorated, and snug, with a lot of books, contemporary art, design pieces, and a fully functioning kitchen. It is a creative, comfortable high-ceiling sanctuary, with trees in front of the windows, overlooking two quiet inner courtyards nestled between two buildings, which is also typical of old Viennese architecture. Cool in Summer. The bathroom is small, and newly installed with a shower. The apartment was recently renovated while keeping its shabby chic spirit. It is my main residence and I rent it when I am away for work for longer periods. I am happy to let you use all my amenities. The apartment is conveniently located in the 16th District, five minutes from the beautiful Kriemhild Square and the famed Kriemhild Cafe where one can plug in a laptop, work, and enjoy great food and drinks. Many delicious food stores, markets, swimming pools, gyms, and restaurants are near the apartment as well as a tram and bus stop in front of the property, and two metro stations U3 and U6 are 12 min walk or three short tram, or bus stops away. The apartment is within walking distance (20 minutes) from the fashionable Seventh District or five bus stops ( bus 48, continuing to the Volkstheater). The tram 9 takes you to the West Bahnhof in less than 7 minutes. This a quiet space, and parties, loud music, and noise are not allowed, However, it is well equipped for a lovely dinner party. The apartment is owned by a professional visual artist and theorist who is currently doing a PhD and lecturing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
