Classic Portland Craftsman home in SE

I stayed at Lisa's comfortable home for almost two months. It is well located on a quiet, leafy street in SE Portland - a block away from excellent restaurants, bakeries, & local shops. The neighborhood is walkable and close to public transit to downtown or other areas of the city. Lisa and I communicated through messaging and email, and she was always authentically friendly, kind, and responsive. I highly recommend her home rental to Portland visitors.

We had a very enjoyable stay, and she was a great "landlord." The neighborhood is interesting; lots of trees and flowers and good walking. Coffee shops and restaurants abound. We did not have a carbut found trolley service very accessible. You will be one block off a busy street, but we were never bothered by traffic.

The house is charming. Our hostess has only owned it a year, and the kitchen could use some updating. That's the only reason I graded it four stars instead of five. However, everything we needed in terms of linens, dishes and so forth was clean and attractive. We definitelly had a 5 start experience and thanks to our hostess for that.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisa's house. The back garden and sunroom make a lovely oasis. The walking access to so many great places to explore was fabulous. Lisa warned that the house hasnt been remodeled, but that was something of a plus for us -- it just felt like staying at a friends home rather than worrying about spilling the juice or anything. Despite being many time zones away, Lisa was always commuicative and everything was ready for us upon arrival. I'm not a gardener and so i might have made use of more explicit explanations of which hoses to use for soaking or whatever -- but, the garden thrived despite my un-green thumb. We loved it!

Lisa's old bungalow had so much character and charm! Her communication and helpfulness made everything very smooth. I will definitely rent again when a future opportunity arises! Thanks so much!

Lisa's home is perfectly situated in a quiet, historic neighborhood, bounded by two bustling streets- Hawthorne and Division- full of art, restaurants and shops, a few blocks away. We found Lisa, and her home, to be welcoming and so hospitable. The beautiful historic house is surrounded by mature gardens, a real gem. Lisa's communication was excellent- and we are so glad we got to meet her. A wonderful experience for my family!
