Halloo! My partner and I sublet our home here in New England (my home) when we head to New Orleans (their home) half the year. We are both artists, cooks, and makers, and our home reflects that. We'd love to find kind people to enjoy our nest in our absence - love on the piano, cook wonderful meals to enjoy at my family's farmhouse table, go hiking in the nearby Blake Town Forest and even hit us up for recommendations of SO MANY of the wonderful things to do here. Here's some more up and down details: This is a two storey house, where downstairs there’s an ample kitchen, a sunlight dining room, and an open living room with an in-tune upright piano. Upstairs are two sunny bedrooms (one queen bed, one full) and a bathroom. The bathtub is marvelously large and the shower has great water pressure.. There’s double-paned windows, so it stays toasty when you turn on the heat. Washer and dryer in the basement. The kitchen has all you need to properly cook (appliances, pots + pans, etc). There’s a spacious, grassy yard and even a fire pit if you’d like to roast some winter marshmallows. Books on all topics to enjoy at your leisure and neighbors who will wave back as you drive by. Fast Wifi. Parking in the driveway and easily on the street. NOTE! The second bedroom is currently set up as an office. Use your imagination! It will magically become a bedroom by the time you move in. THE AREA: A one-mile walk into the heart of Greenfield, where there’s groceries, shoppes and restaurants, a wonderful library, a movie theater, bakeries/coffee/tea, farmer’s market on Saturdays, hardware…you name it. It’s a very sweet little town. Or drive 25 minutes north to Brattleboro, VT, or 25 minutes south to Northampton, MA, and find even more fun and culture at your fingertips. (2 hour drive to Boston and a 3 hour drive to NY, for yet more adventures.) This is a wonderful area to explore! ACCESSIBILITY: There are four steps to get into the house and a full flight of stairs (with bannister) to access the second story. While the house has of course been cleaned, both dogs and cats have lived here in recent years. The house and the bathroom are not wheelchair accessible.
