Characterful Fishermans Cottage in Prime Location off Harbour Street, in the heart of Whitstable's historic conservation area, 5 miles from University of Canterbury Campus and half an hour by train or car from Chatham or Rochester, (Medway Campus sites). Station is ten minutes walk away. It's just over an hour by train to London. The house offers a secure bike shed, small garden and good wifi. The small single bedroom leads off of the main bedroom and can be used as an office or extra bedroom. There's also a Workers League Hub three minutes away, offering part time office space by the day, the month or the year - should all mod cons and a more sophisticated office set up be required. Whitstable is a historic fishing town, famous for its Oysters. Still boasts a working harbour and is seen as a 'hidden gem' of the Kent coast, (not so hidden now as it was!). It's characterful charm attracts weekenders and holiday makers from London and beyond, giving it a vibrant feel and lots of thriving shops and restaurants. It's also very popular with artists and musicians, so galleries and live music are ubiquitous too. Whitstable High Street is 3 minutes walk from the house, the Sea is 5 minutes away, offering Whitstable Sailing Club and fantastic coastal walks. Whitstable is known for its many independent shops, boutiques, delightful pubs, cafes and restaurants. Terrific seafood abounds! It's about 15 minutes journey by bus, train or car to Canterbury. The Gulbenkian Theatre, minutes away on campus offers cinema, comedy and occasional theatre events too. Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury has touring shows, (so something different every week). There's also the Turner Modern Art Gallery nearby at Margate and the wealth of London's offering of Theatre, Galleries, Shops and Museums in easy reach by train or by car.

Comments: Very secure bike shed. Everyone comments on wonderful location of the house. So near to the charms of Whitstable High Street, to the sea and to the station. Whitstable is extremely near to Canterbury and nicer than Canterbury itself really.

Comments: Am quite flexible. Would be happy to let between Autumn 2026 to Spring 2027 when I may resume Holiday Lettings. Welcome Short Stays or Long Lets. Would consider a let for academic years of 2026/2027. But at a higher rate than currently advertised.
