The office may be used as a 3rd bedroom (no bed provided); living room with TV; fully-equipped kitchen; sunroom/dining room; office with high speed internet; and guest bathroom. Hardwood floors except for the bedroom, which is carpeted. The upstairs bedroom has nice light that could be a children's room or project/study/arts room. In the basement is laundry and an exercise space. The house has central heating and air-conditioning. Kitchen has microwave and dishwasher along with refrigerator, oven, stove. There is plenty of space in the house if you have your own furniture or items to add. The house sits on a double lot so has a good sized yard. The backyard is perfect for kids or pets or your own enjoyment. The back deck has a gas grill and table/chairs. The backyard is fenced in with stairs and a dog ramp to the back deck. There is a wildflower garden, an herb garden, and a vegetable garden. The yard has mature oak, maple, and hickory trees. In fall, winter, and spring you can see Lake Mendota (obscured by trees in the summer). The lake is only two blocks away and there are a number of close access points. There is a small neighborhood park at the end of the street. Middleton is known as the "Good Neighbor City" and the neighbors are wonderful. The University of Wisconsin is a short bus ride away and may be within biking distance (~5 miles). Shops, restaurants, Starbucks, and gyms are within walking distance. There is a two-car garage (only one garage door is automatic). There are three steps up to the front door but otherwise the main level is designed for ease of mobility, except for laundry which is in the basement. The house was built in 1937 with a major addition in 2022. Renter will be responsible for mowing the lawn (mower provided) and shoveling the driveway.
