I am a professor in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. I'm looking for a single person (or couple) to rent the newly renovated, furnished, lower-level, private apartment (with separate entrance) in my home. Open-concept living/kitchen, separate bedroom, full bath with heated tile floors. Peloton, washer-dryer, full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer (note: kitchen includes microwave, toaster oven, and glass cooktop but no full-size oven). High-speed wi-fi and all utilities are included in the monthly rent. Located on a leafy side street, the apartment is a 5-minute walk to two of Toronto's best parks: Bickford and Christie Pits. Christie Pits has a public pool, skating rink, skate park, and, on Sundays in the summer, a county league baseball team. Bickford's acres of green grass are great for picnics. In the winter, it's Toronto's best sledding spot. Trinity-Bellwoods and the Lower Ossington Strip, with award-winning restaurants and boutiques, are just 15-20 minutes away on foot. Two bike share stations are less than a block away and both Ossington and Christie TTC (subway) stations are a 5-minute walk with an easy connection to the Union-Pearson (UP) Express train to the YYZ airport. All of Toronto's major universities are easily accessible: the University of Toronto is 30 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by transit; Toronto Metropolitan is 30 minutes by transit; York University is 50 minutes by transit.
